Christmas Island Special has a reputation as the bonefish fly for Pacific destinations like Christmas Island, Hawaii or Aitutaki. We don’t disagree. However, since it’s basically a sparse Crazy Charlie variation (also known as Xmas Charlie), Christmas Island Special is also an excellent all-around bonefish fly anywhere. This variation is tied with a bit heavier dumbell eyes for those deeper flats. Tied on a Daiichi 2546 saltwater hook.
